Valentine Treats in my Cricut Classroom

This past month, the students in my Cricut Classroom have been busy with valentine creations. They were instructed on how to make a pop-up valentine card, a quick & easy valentine shirt, and these adorable valentine treat jars.

How cute are these?? I am getting ready to fill mine and send them off to a few of my children for Valentine’s day.

During the lesson, we talked about print-then-cut and each student learned how to use that Cricut feature to create these amazing little tags. A few of them had never tried that feature before and they were so excited to learn something new that they could do with their Cricut.

That little tag turned out so cute atop a rosette decorated with a little wooden button. The print-then-cut feature allowed us to print out our sentiment then cut out the tag shape around the images.

I chose to decorate my jars in two different ways – one for my daughter and one for a son. The pink jar is adorned with papers from the Perfect Match collection along with a few Mix-Ins and 6×6 Stacks.

The other jar has a more masculine feel with deep reds and black. These are all from the random assortment of papers in my scrap bin.

Both jars have a simple label on the front with the word “hugs” cut from cardstock. I attached it to the jar with foam tape so that I could place the paper hearts behind it.

I also added a few of those charming mini hearts to this project. Those little plastic hearts are so much fun to decorate with.

If you would like to learn how to make a valentine jar, or how to use the print-then-cut feature, then I would love for you to join me in my Cricut Classroom. Each week, I host a live class showing how to create a project in Design Space and post a few tips, tricks, and tidbits videos for you to enjoy.

Each month’s content will be designed for beginners and experienced Cricut students.   If you missed a previous lesson or class, you can refer to it in the videos section of the group. All videos from the past year will be available during your active membership for you to refer to as needed. (Printable notes for each tutorial are only available to active Cricut Classroom subscribers.)
