Having Fun in My Cricut Classroom

Back in April, when this whole “go virtual” thing started happening, I decided that it was time to start my online Cricut Classroom.  This idea had been lurking in my brain matter for months.  I’ve taught local Cricut classes for the past four years and wanted to find a way to teach more people, like you, how to use those wonderful machines you’ve invested in – thus the Cricut Classroom was born.

So what exactly have we been doing in my Cricut Classroom? Quite a bit!  We have been Covering Our Basics as we discover Design Space, create with images, and talk about all the features you can use.  Last week, the students learned how to create these magnificent shadowboxes using the Aurora Cricut Collection

Aren’t they just fabulous?! I love how those Aurora background papers make you feel like you are right in the middle of a mountain scene.  I was so proud when each of the students in my class posted their finished shadow boxes.  They all took what they had learned in the past three weeks and made some beautiful creations for their homes.

Here are just a few of the comments that were made after class:

My 23 yr old son saw it and said he wants me to make some for friends. So there’ll be more practice for me. Really enjoyed this process, thanks Carrie.

Thanks for this fun project!

Got it done! Fun project. Thank you Carrie!

Today, we started working on a scrapbook page with an SVG title and three-dimensional flower. I chose to use one of Close to My Heart’s Free Stay At Home SVGs for my title backed with those adorable spring Mix-Ins papers. I am loving how my layout turned out and I can’t wait to see everyone’s finished projects.

For those of you who are wanting to learn more about Design Space & how to use your Cricut machine, I would love for you to join us in the Cricut classroom.  You have multiple subscription options to choose from.  If you are just starting out with your Cricut machine, I have a FREE Class that I would like for you to consider joining. Each month, I offer a Cricut Basics Online class for new Cricut crafters where I teach machine set-up and Design Space basics in a private Facebook group.

When requesting to join the group, you will need to complete the questioner and agree to the rules before you will be approved to join.  Once you have taken the class, you can decide if you want to continue your Cricut learning in my Cricut Classroom.

I would truly love for you to join us as we create each week with our Cricut machines. Feel free to comment below if you have any questions about my Free Cricut Classes or my online Cricut Classroom membership group.
