If you enjoy both crafting and spending time with your furry friend, then this blog post is perfect for you! Today, we will explore a fun and creative way to repurpose beach-themed pattern papers into a summer puppy page.

Our adorable grand-puppy is full of energy, and the warmer weather has made it easier for her to enjoy running and playing outside. She delights in soaking up the sun during these warm days, which inspired the theme for my scrapbook page.

This creative project is not only a fun way to showcase your crafting skills but also a wonderful keepsake that celebrates your furry friend and the joy of summer. The Limoncello Sorbet kit from {Not} Just for Boys has some amazing elements that can be use for your pages.

I began by incorporating vibrant colors from the “This Is Paradise” pattern paper, along with a bright yellow Sherbet lemon border. I arranged three photos of our playful grand-pup on Simple Stories tags and Pinkfresh journaling bits.

Each photo was accentuated with a strip of American Crafts patterned paper and delicate die-cut florals. These patterns provide a visual distinction between the photos and the colorful stripes in the background.

Despite the numerous beach-themed elements in this collection, I managed to discover plenty of summer items to incorporate on this page. I combined these stickers with some leftover die-cut florals from a previous project.

As always, I selected three colors for my gallon, quart, pink ratios. For this design, I chose yellow, pink, and blue-green. To maintain balance in this design, I repeated those colors, like shapes, and patterns within my clusters.

I also included some phrases to narrate the story and used the larger yellow sun and florals the create directional flow on the page.

I placed a prominent title on the left side of the layout, incorporating phrases from the “Fun in the Sun” Puffy Phrase Thickers. To complete the design, I included an acrylic arrow from the INSD collection, which I found complements the Limoncello kit flawlessly.

To finish off the page, I added a few enamel dots and a soft acrylic arrow.  I chose colors that were more prominent on the layout.

This scrapbook layout is packed full of patterns and bright summer colors.  Let me share more ways that I combined these beach-themed elements onto my page .

The Limoncello Sorbet kit is designed for your beach side vacation photos, but it’s also versatile enough to record fun summer memories. So grab your supplies, unleash your creativity, and enjoy making this adorable summer puppy page!
