Birthday cards are always in demand, and the Cozy Pattern Paper collection combined with Harvest cardstock colors is just right for warm, celebratory designs. Given my love for coffee, I couldn’t resist incorporating the Fall Treats, of course, I adore the look of stitching on my projects, so I adding some texture, too. The beauty of stitching doesn’t always require a needle and thread. Recently, I discovered some amazing Stitching Pattern dies from Scrapbook.com and I can’t wait to show you some ways you can use these faux stitching dies in your cardmaking projects.

One of my favorite die sets from Scrapbook.com is the collection of Stitching Patterns. This set features six distinctive patterns that deboss stitch designs into your projects. Each die, measuring 8.5” in a continuous pattern, is perfect for card borders, page edges, or adding texture to your creations.created two textured backgrounds.
On this card, I created a simple yet striking repetitive background using the straight stitch and random X pattern dies. To ensure perfect spacing, I used the grid on the Magic Mat before running it through my die-cutting machine. It was so easy to center my die on the cardstock and tack it in place with mint tape.
For the second card, I experimented with a diamond pattern by placing the dot stitching die diagonally. This design needed a bit more pressure, so I used the shim in my Spellbinders machine to create that delicate design.
Not only can the Stitching Pattern dies be used on backgrounds, but they are also perfect for borders. A simple straight stitch or zig-zag can really elevate a card. I love how these stitching dies offer the look of sewing and embroidery but save time when you’re in a rush.
