Combine Cut File Creativity with Handstitching

I am so excited to share a video that merges two of my favorite hobbies into one! Today, I am going to show you two ways to transforming a cut file from Hip Kit Club into a lovely stitched design for your scrapbook page. The first method involves using Cricut Design Space, and in the second, I’ll employ the print version of the cut file to achieve the same effect. Get ready to be amazed by the results!

Before you scroll down to the video, I want to share a few details about this lovely page. Let’s start with a close up of that amazing stitched design. The intricate details are truly mesmerizing and the silver thread gives it an elegant look. These are simple backstitches designed to give it a textured effect and make the design pop.

A little cross stitch on top of the bobbles adds dimension to the overall design. This took a little time to create, but it was worth the effort. I love how it turned out!

The embroidered design is already stunning, but I decided to take it a step further. I introduced a title accented with stitching details. The colors are so vibrant and cheerful, and they contribute to the story of the page.

To add a touch of holiday cheer, I layered florals to incorporate red from Santa’s suit, complemented by a hint of silver to match the baubles on the tree. This not only added a beautiful frame around my photo but also made it stand out against the embroidered background.

To create a cohesive look, I incorporated more of the color palette above the photo using two tags, florals, and a silver tab. I also added extra stitching to the frame and tags with my sewing machine to bring texture to the page. I absolutely adore how stitching contributes to the page’s overall aesthetic.

The majority of the items are clustered around the page’s center, which sits atop that delightful holiday tree. The pattern paper frame brings everything together to record a fun holiday memory.

How simple was that? With just a few steps, you can create a beautiful stitched background for your upcoming scrapbook page using a holiday cut file.
