Pocket cards and 6×8 papers are often overlooked by card makers. The smaller patterns and icons are perfect for cardmaking. On these two cards, I took advantage of the printed images, journal lines, and simple background designs.
You wouldn’t believe the great card-making projects you can make with the items you already have on hand. On these cards, I used pocket life collection pattern papers to cut most of my die cuts. The paint brush handles and flowers look really cute with simple prints.
I even used the journal lines from a pocket card to add some nice details to the paint brush handle. It makes the card unique and gives it a personal touch. You can get creative and have fun while making your own cards.
For this card, I decided to use a longer pocket card with a clip image and floral design to make the background more interesting. I also cut out some butterfly images from a pocket card and used them as embellishments. You can add charm and interest to your handmade cards with these little details.
Hip Kit pocket life collections can be purchased with a matching stamp set. The latest one has some great images and sentiments for card makers. You’ll love the options it gives you for designing your next project.
For this card, I used a simple grid stamp design to create a bright, colorful background. The stamp from the March Hip Kit was perfect! I stamped it repeatedly in an overlapping pattern and in coordinating colors to tie everything together. I love the way it turned out.
