Yes, I know…it’s still fall. The season is fall, the weather is fall, the stamp set is fall, and we haven’t even had Thanksgiving. Call me an obnoxious crafting rebel, but I needed to break the mold and show you how this “fall” stamp set could be used for the holidays.
This card just makes my heart happy.♥ The primitive colors, bits of plaid and stitching remind me of a country Christmas. My design required the use the Family Time stamp set in conjunction with our new For the Tree ornament stamp set.
After cutting the ornament shape using the Custom Ornament Thin Cuts, I stamped the black cardstock using White Daisy Pigment Ink to give it the chalk-like look. I used the flower and leaf images from the Family Time stamp set♥ to construct a layered Candy Apple poinsettia with a heat embossed center.
To balance the out my Country Christmas card, I added a bit of holly with small red dots. Images from the Family Time stamp set were also used to make the background and sentiment. Can you guess which three stamps I used?
Now ‘Hop” on over to Haley Dyer’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas. Remember, the Family Time stamp set is only available until November 30th. Contact your CTMH Consultant, or visit the Promotions tab of my website to see how you can get this stamp set for only $5.00.
