I’m thrilled to introduce you to some exciting new Tim Holtz products brought to you by a fantastic collaboration with Scrapbook.com. The Ranger Ink Distress Sprays have just been released today, and I couldn’t wait to dive in and explore their potential.

These fresh releases just launched and I’m thrilled to share with you my hands-on experience and the exciting card projects I created. The colors I received are Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Twisted Citron, Uncharted Mariner, and Wilted Violet. Each ounce spray bottle is similar in color to the Tim Holtz Inks you may already have, but these have a glorious shimmer to them.

To kick things off, I want to share a few techniques with you and explain more about the unique properties of these new Distress Sprays by Ranger Ink.

The Distress Spritz can be used in myriad ways to create a mesmerizing shimmer effect. Whether you’re spraying them over inked or painted surfaces or using a brush to paint directly onto your projects, the results are always magical.
The formula includes a unique blend of pearlized pigments with a clear fluid base. I was honestly surprised by the gleam and professional finish. The color is in the shimmer itself, which leads to an amazing shimmery finish.

One of the standout features of this collection is its ability to layer colors. Each Distress Spritz color can be layered over another or over the top of your favorite Ranger Ink products. These rich, vibrant hues over texture paste and black mixed media paper create dramatic, darker tones.
These spritzes are designed to work seamlessly with other products in the Distress line, including Distress Ink, Oxide Ink, Paints, and Pencils and they do not react with the reactive properties of other Distress products. This created a stunning layered effect that is crisp and clean.

Before you scroll down to the video, I want to share what I learned as I was experimenting with these new Distress Spritz by Tim Holtz.
QUICK RANGER INK DISTRESS SPRITZ TIPS
- Mix Well: Before you start, make sure to thoroughly to mix the pigment with the liquid. The instructions say to shake, but I prefer to roll instead (see video).
- Spray or Paint: These can be sprayed directly onto the surface of your project or used like paint. I suggest that you have a silicone craft mat under your project for easy clean up.
- Air Dry or Heat Dry: The project can be allowed to air dry or you use a heat tool for quicker results. In my video, I shared some differences between the two.
- Clean Up: Distress Spritz clean up is so simple with just a little soap and water. As with most Ranger sprays, you do need to clean the spray nozzle immediately after use to prevent clogging. There are replace sprayers if you need one.
- Permanent and Safe: Once the pigment is dry, it will not wipe off. Distress Spritz is acid-free and non-toxic, making it a safe choice for all your projects.
In today’s detailed, a detailed video, you’ll get a sneak peek at five of the vibrant new colors and learn valuable tips on how to use them effectively. Plus, I’ll walk you through the process of making beautiful, simple cards that are perfect for any occasion.
