Sometimes card making is all about having fun and adding just a little extra sweetness to your creations. Today, I’m excited to share a playful fall-themed shaker card I made with the exclusive Trinity Stamps Ice Cream Gnomes set, designed for the STAMPtember® celebration. This set is filled with charm, and I couldn’t resist turning it into a bright and happy “extra sprinkles” kind of day.
This project combines interactive fun with cozy fall vibes that’s perfect for birthdays, sweet celebrations, or just sending someone a smile. The shaker window draws the eye, while the gingham and twine keep it grounded in that handmade, heartfelt style.
SUPPLIES | Ice Cream Gnomes Stamp & Die Set, Ice Cream Gnomes Stamp Set, Card Making Essentials Die Set 1, Sweet & Spooky Paper Pad, Woodland Cardstock, Pumpkin Cardstock, Mustard Cardstock, Ultra Thick White Cardstock, Pretty Pink Shaker Pop, Supernova Sprinkles, Halloween Hues Polymer Bits, Halloween Night Confetti, Gina K Designs OBSIDIAN Cube Ink, Alcohol markers, Glassboard (20% off Code CARRIE20), P6 Die Cut Machine
This design started with a warm fall-inspired background using orange gingham patterned paper, which gave the card an instant cozy feel. To create the shaker element, I used a scalloped circle frame layered with cheerful autumn tones.
Inside, I added a mix of sprinkles – pink beads, black and yellow bits, and shiny sequins. These really bring the sentiment to life. The movement inside the shaker makes this card extra playful, perfect for celebrating special occasions.
The star of the card is, of course, that big drippy ice cream cone. I stamped the image from the Ice Cream Gnomes set and colored it with alcohol markers, layering shades of red and pink for a rich, melty look.
The waffle cone got a deeper brown with crosshatch details to make it look crisp and crunchy. The image pops beautifully against the gingham backdrop and pairs perfectly with the sprinkle-filled shaker window.
If you’d like to see how this card came together step by step, I’ve shared a full video tutorial on my YouTube channel. I walk you through the process of creating the shaker, coloring the ice cream cone, and adding all those fun details.
