When I began my card making hobby, I was always looking for beginner-friendly tutorials with tips to help me grow my skills, gain confidence, and use supplies in creative ways. If this sounds familiar, then you are going to enjoy today’s process video.

In my video below, I share some of my tips for random stamping. Random stamping sounds easy… until you try it. To get that seamless patterned-paper look, I use the triangle method. I also rotate the stamp with each impression to add visual interest and stamp off the edges to avoid a “boxed in” look.

I find it best to stick to a limited color palette. For this card, I chose a simple primary color combination using Catherine Pooler inks. The colors give off such a bright, cheerful vibe.

Shaker cards can seem intimidating to beginners, but this design makes it simple. I used nested circle dies to create the window for the shaker base. Trinity’s adorable Happy Pills and Bath Bubbles embellishments were the perfect interactive element.

I have always struggled aligning my shaker layers, until I discovered a repositionable foam tape. It’s a GAME CHANGER. Check out how simple card making can be with this new product.
