Have you ever found a beach themed scrapbook kit in your stash and think, “What in the world am I going to do with this?” This time of year, I find myself ogling over all those vibrant patterns, but I live in the desert plains with an amazing view of the mountains, and not a single beach nearby. Instead of packing the kits away, I decided to use this month’s Summer Vacation kit by Miss. Kate in an unconventional way. If you appreciate all things crafty and nostalgic, get ready for a delightful surprise.

Before I share more about this project, I want to tell you about the awesome kit unboxing I experienced. This Summer Vacay Scrapbook Kit did not disappoint! It is packed full of vibrant summery motifs and brimming with items you need for capturing sunny memories. Every piece screamed summer vacation, from tropical palm trees to playful flipflops.

Within the Summer Vacation kit, I found a delightful assortment of elements that gave off a Cuban Miami Beach vibe. The colors were a perfect blend of pastel pinks, aquamarine blues, and sandy neutrals, making it incredibly versatile for various themes.

The elements in this Summer Vacation scrapbook kit provided the perfect backdrop for showcasing photos from a vintage car show. By blending classic elements like the summer fun title with a touch of island charm, I crafted a fantastic scrapbook layout.
One of the things I love most about scrapbooking is the endless possibilities for creativity. Just because an item is designed for one purpose doesn’t mean it can’t be repurposed for another.

For example, I used the palm tree die cut as a grounding piece in my title, adding a bright circular element to the page. This shape and color are replicated throughout the layout to create balance and flow.
You can also use items like beach-balls, lifesavers, and flowers as playful embellishments that add a pop of color to your page.

Before I share my video with you, I must give a shoutout to the Miss Kate shop. If you haven’t explored their subscription kits, SVG images, and page kits yet, you’re missing out! Their collections are thoughtfully curated and always come with a touch of whimsy and elegance.
