Grid scrapbook layouts seem to be the newest trend. I like how clean my simple fall grid page turned out so I decided to try another grid design with more photos. This layout allowed me to capture an entire day at the zoo on one page and tell the story of our visit.
I took quite a few photos that day, so I needed to narrow down my selection. I chose fourteen photos, made some edits, and cropped them in Canva. To create a balanced grid, I sized them at 2” x 1½” and printed them out on my photo printer.
With all the photos in place, I knew that I needed a bold title. I combined a sticker and an acrylic phrase with some florals, an elephant, and an adhesive brad. In the title are colors that can also be found in the photos and on other areas of the page.
When I create a layout, I like to repeat colors, patterns, and shapes in my design. With so many photos in this grid pattern, I opted for smaller patterns and little bits of color on a neutral background.
The tags at the top of the page serve a dual purpose. Not only do they add some color to the page, but they gave me a spot to add some journaling. Two of the tags have been tucked into pockets so that they can be removed to read the story.
After adding elements at the top of the page, I needed to create a cluster at the base of the page to draw your eye across the photos.
I brought in some more neutrals with the zebra and sign perspextives and added color with florals. These items sat along a piece of giraffe print ribbon that I stitched to the page. It created a nice grounding point and added to the theme of the layout.

Grid pages are a simple way to add an overview of a vacation, a trip, or a snapshot of your life. You can add multiple photos in a smaller format without overwhelming a page and create a lovely look at some memories you want to record.
