The holidays are a time for family, joy, and memory-making activities, and many of us find ourselves with a plethora of photos just waiting to be transformed into a keepsake. As I reflected on our family’s traditions, I realized the importance of documenting these special moments. One cherished tradition in our household is making homemade candy, and I wanted to preserve these sweet memories without the need to create an entire scrapbook of recipes.

I’m excited to partner with Scrapbook.com to bring you this delightful scrapbook layout that beautifully captures the essence of holiday traditions. Before you head over to the video tutorial, I want to share a few details about how this page came together.

To share the story of our annual tradition, I created a page layout with pockets. This is a simple way to capture the essence of a holiday tradition.

The versatile pocket die collections from Scrapbook.com were perfect for this project. I used tags to neatly tuck my candy recipes into these pockets. Most of my recipes have fewer than ten ingredients, so the smaller pockets worked perfectly, but feel free to adjust the pocket size according to your family’s traditions.
When crafting your pockets and tags, be mindful of the pattern paper direction when cutting out the pieces. Most of the patterns in the Holiday Pattern Cardstock Paper Pad were random enough so I could cut the pockets out easily. The ornaments and candy canes were patterns I needed to pay attention to. These might appear a bit off if placed upside down.

Inside each pocket, I tucked a tag featuring a cherished candy recipe. Not all tags from the Jumbo Nested Tags collection fit perfectly. In my video tutorial, I shared some tips on how to modify them to fit.
After arranging the pockets and photos in a grid pattern, I adorned the page with decorative holiday elements. Using a mix of dies, I created borders, flowers, holly, pine boughs, and phrases. Most of the pieces I cut are from the Cozy Autumn Foliage Die Set which is a great year-round collection of dies I use often.

After the scrapbook page was complete, I typed up each of our family candy recipes and printed them onto cardstock. I cut out the printed recipes and adhered them to each of the tags an tucked them into the pockets.
