This Calls for Confetti
Hey, I’m Miss Carrie! I’m uncivilized for this, but that’s what makes it fun. If you’re looking for a Pinterest-perfect hobbyist with an IKEA catalog craft room and a penchant for fluff, you’re in the wrong place.
My background isn’t average, and neither is my approach. I hold multiple college degrees that allow me to bring a little logic to the craft table. I don’t just follow the steps; I deconstruct them.
Before trading the classroom for a camera, I spent years in Special Education. That’s why my tutorials actually make sense. If you’ve ever been told to “just follow the steps” and ended up with a hot mess, I’m your new best friend.
Years ago, God closed the classroom door and pointed me toward the internet. It felt absurd at the time, but it turns out the “plot twist” was the best thing that ever happened to me.
Today I’m a published paper crafting educator, a “cover girl” featured in Creative Scrapbooker magazine, and content creator. Starting in 2025, I became a social media manager for This Calls for Confetti. I work with a growing community of crafters and brands who show up because they trust me to keep it simple, keep it real, and always keep the coffee warm.

My creative sanctuary is where my love for the macabre meets a world of paper and ink. Alongside my three Cricut machines and my newly added laser, you’ll find my favorite “studio assistants” Skelly E. Ton and a collection of Furry Bones. They sit among my inks, sprays, and a heart welding ghost next to a sign that reminds me that Coffee is the answer.
I’m a fan of all things papercrafts, from cards and scrapbooks to intricate laser cuts. My signature style is a mix of opposites: I like to keep the process simple, yet I can’t resist the beauty of lots of layers, delicate floral die cuts, and the texture of stitching.
There are always approximately six unfinished projects on my desk, next to an empty coffee cup and one that was freshly filled. My space is always open to anyone who wants to come create. Coffee is always on. Pull up a chair.
A little more about Miss. Carrie

Coffee

Coffee
My obsession with coffee didn’t start until I was much older, but I remember watching my grandparents enjoy their cups of joe and finding the smell it so comforting. Now it’s part of my ritual any time of day. Some days it’s a espresso or latte, and others it’s just an simple americano with cream. An Ohana hazelnut with coconut is my favorite. When you visit my home you’ll find a full coffee bar with all my favorites. You’re always welcome to pull up a chair, and stay a while.

Years ago I began recording family memories in scrapbooks. When everyone else was using sticker strips, I was creating three-dimensional elements, chalk art, and mixed media. I was never one to follow rules. The other croppers thought I was eccentric and they weren’t wrong. After a family tragedy, I took a break, but was drawn back when I was invited to a Cricut class. I joined CTMH, taught classes, made a complete 180° in 2019 to content creation and I’ve never looked back.

Faith & Family

faith & family
I’m blessed to be married to a wonderful man who serves as an Awana missionary. Together, we’ve built a life centered on faith and family. We raised four children, fostered three, and celebrated as two ‘bonus’ kids joined the ranks through marriage. Our home was a place of cookies, homework, and neighbor kids who weren’t even ours. If God can redirect redhead with multiple random college degrees toward a Cricut machine and a YouTube channel, He can certainly work with your glorious mess, too.

Brain Monsters

Neuro-Spicy Truth
My left and right brains argue constantly. The organized legal, accounting, and teacher brain wants color coded supply bins and checklists. The creative brain wants to cover every surface in pattern paper and see what happens. My craft room has three Cricut machines, skeletons & ghosts, coffee signs and approximately seven unfinished projects. I am learning to embrace the imperfections with every gloriously messy layout ever made. Coffee is always on. Pull up a chair.
What Paper Crafters Like You Are Saying
I’m a beginner and I understand the functions, due to some background knowledge with photoshop and adobe illustrator. Most of the time, I just need a QUICK tutorial, so I can follow the dopamine and MAKE what I’m working on without distractions. YOU ARE SO APPRECIATED! THANK YOU! I will be checking out more of your videos.
