Create Striking Teen Scrapbook Pages

Crafting scrapbook pages that capture the essence of teenage memories can be challenging. Balancing vividness, sophistication, and adventure in the layouts without overshadowing the photos requires careful attention. In today’s video, we’ll explore some tips to help you seamlessly blend these elements together and create a stunning scrapbook page.

The Revitalize Kit from {Not} Just for Boys is a one-of-a-kind collection of patterns, prints, and acetate frame textures, combined with lively hues and bold chipboard elements. This makes it an ideal choice for teen pages.

It’s important to choose a color scheme that complements the photos and overall theme of the page. Whether it’s bright and bold or soft and subtle, sticking to a cohesive color palette will help tie everything together.

While bold designs often take over your pages and draw attention away from your photos, using separation elements will bring those memories to the forefront. This mix of black, white, and grey pieces created a frame around my photo without adding any additional color.

The kit comes with a variety of patterns, so take advantage of these by choosing colors for your background and embellishments that highlight the ones in your photo.

These photos contain a range of colors like brown, green, red, and blue and it would have been overwhelming to incorporate all of these hues into my design. The solution was to use an analogous color palette comprising blues and greens. This simple combination made the red in my photos pop even more.

Incorporating different textures and patterns can also add interest to the page. A mix of chipboard, acetate, thread, and paper creates a dynamic statement on a layout.

The Essentials kit includes a variety of bold black and white die cuts that can be used to create depth and dimension. The addition of stars and arrows brings an air of excitement to this layout.

Unique titles can be created with word and phrase stamps. Very few companies carry titles that pertains to all your teen’s adventures, so why not create your own.

The new Nailed It stamp set has some wonderful words and banners that can be combined to create awesome phrases like the one here.
