It’s time to join the Color My Heart Dare Challenge! This week’s challenge is to use all and only Glacier, Charcoal, Bashful and (optional) Silver. I chose to create this whimsical Valentine’s Day card using some paper from the Chelsea Gardens and Gimme Some Sugar paper collections. You can find a list of all of the supplies I used at the very bottom of this post.
Paper Needed: 4¼” x 5½” Card Base, 4¼” x 5½” Glacier Cardstock, 3¼” x 4½” B&T Paper (Chelsea Gardens)
Cricut Images: Pine Tree – #MD6794B, Heart – #M4289B, Banner – #M39162
Techniques Used on this Card:
• The border on the Glacier base was created using a ruler and our Chalk Marker.
• A PML Card from the Gimme Some Sugar collection was used to create the “Heart Trees”. The outlines on the “Heart Trees” were made using the “Write” feature in Cricut® Design Space.
• The sentiment was created on the Glacier cardstock banner using a font called “Elephant”, then a banner cut from Charcoal cardstock was layered behind.
I had so much fun creating this Valentine’s Day card. Sometimes you just need to step “out-of-the-box” and make something new. I hope you join me in the Color My Heart Dare weekly challenge. I can’t wait to see what you create!
