This week, at the Heart2Heart challenge blog, we are playing with some old world, vintage products, like our Yesterday & Today papers, to create some fun paper craft designs. Before I show you my St. Paddy’s Day Top Hat Treat, I want to remind you how to join the challenge. All you need to is stop by the Heart2Heart blog and link your creation before March 31st.
Saint Patrick’s Day is one of my favorite holidays♣, so I try my best to make as many crafty creations as possible before the day comes. This week, I decided that I wanted to use some of our Yesterday & Today papers to create an adorable top hat to fill with treats and place on my table. What do you think?
This top hat was created using a few images in Cricut® Design Space that were cut from some Yesterday & Today papers, Kraft paper, and Green cardstock. I even added some sweet little stamped images and Julep gems for sparkle.
After assembling the top hat, I filled it up with some candy nuggets, covered in some of my leftover green paper scraps, and added a few little dancing green clovers.
How many of you would love to have this Cricut Design Space Design and learn how to assemble the project? 🙋🏻♀️ With all the goings on in the world this week and so many of you stuck at home, I have decided to add a little fun in your day and post a few video tutorials in my VIP Group – one of them being this whimsical Saint Paddy’s Day Treat. (This group is designed for my VIPs, customers, and team members. You must agree to all the rules in order to join.)
I hope that this project has inspired you to create something with a little Vintage Vibe and share it with us at the Heart2Heart Challenge Blog. Make sure to share your project before March 31st so that we are able to see your wonderful creation.

I have quite a few upcoming events♥ planned just for you in the coming weeks including a Christmas Card class, Spring Home Decor class, and multiple Cricut classes. Each one is available as a local and online class that you can come and create at. I can’t wait to share each one with you.
Let Me Tell You How My Classes Work
If you are attending a local class, you will need to register online and pre-pay for the class. Once I have received your registration & payment, you will receive a confirmation email reserving your spot and kit.
If you are attending an online class, you will register online and pre-pay if necessary (some classes are free with purchases from my website). In your confirmation email you will receive a link to a PRIVATE Facebook group full of content for you to learn from including cutting guides, videos, and a live video. This content is available to you for 45 days so that you can refer to it as often as needed.
I like to make sure that each class teaches you new techniques and ways to use your supplies. It is important that you “leave” each class with a completed project and are inspired to try something new.

This week, while I am at the Close to My Heart Convention, I have decided to do a recap of some of my favorite tutorials♥ from the past year. Quite a few of you have joined me recently, so I figured that this was the best time to, not only share some great projects with you, but show you a few that you might have missed. If you have already viewed these tutorials, I hope that this little refresher will inspire you to create something new.
♥ Basic Watercolor Techniques
If you are just starting out with watercolor pencils, or you are wanting to pick them up again, my Using Watercolor Pencils tutorial is a great read. I walk you through a few techniques for using our amazing pencils and inspire you with a beautiful card I made using our Feels Like Home papers.
♥ Playing with Paper Pom-Poms
Although this was a St Patrick’s Day decoration, I have considered CASEing myself and recreating it for fall. These adorable little pom-poms are so simple to make and fun to use on your paper crafts.
♥ Watercolor Embossed Backgrounds
The card I created with this technique was one of my favorite creations. The vivid watercolor background paired with vellum made it simple and elegant. I would love for you to give this Watercolor Background technique a try, and share it in our VIP Group.
♥ Using a Visual Triangle
Have you heard of using a visual triangle to create balance on your layouts? If not, this tutorial will walk you through how I used this technique to create a balanced layout of our anniversary trip to the Botanical garden.
Did you learn something new? Were you inspired to give one of these techniques a try? As a Close to My Heart consultant, I truly enjoy showing you how to create something you love and want to share with the ones you care about. Please feel free to share what you created in the comments below or in my VIP Facebook Group.
