Welcome to the Stamptacular Blog Hop

Our monthly blog hops are a wonderful way for you to gather a few ideas for future projects. Feel free to Pin these projects directly from our blogs and save them for later.  You may be just starting here or you may have come from Katy Taylor’s blog – either way, you are in the right place.  When you are finished viewing my Simple Floral Meadows cards, click the link at the end of my post to “hop” on over to the next website. If you get lost along the way, you will find the list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

This month, I packed my schedule full of fun projects and three retreats – then life happened. When I realized that I needed a project for today’s blog hop, I decided to keep it super simple and use up a few of my paper scraps in the process. I am sure that many of you also have days where life “just happens” making these Simple Floral Meadows cards a perfect project for you to make.

I wanted to highlight two of my favorite stamp sets – the Daisy Meadows Scrapbooking bundle and the Sentiments & Stitches stamps. Both of these have images and sentiments I enjoy using on my creations.

The Sentiments & Stitches stamp set is an older set that is currently on sale during Stamptacular. As many of you know, I like to add stitching to my projects. This stamp set has quite a few stitch images that I can use when I don’t have time to pull out my sewing machine or hand stitch.

On this first card, I stamped the stitching across the top of the plaid Mix-In paper in Peacock ink. To create the scallop design, I used our Fancy Borders Thin cuts.

I used those borders on all three of my cards. On this second card, I use another border to create the lace. The stitched stamp was added along the side of the card onto a piece of Daisy Meadows paper.

Each of the stitched images and sentiments was paired with some beautiful florals from the Daisy Meadow Scrapbooking thin cut bundle. This set comes with matching dies to help you cut out each of the flower, leaf, and butterfly images.

I shaded each of the images using our TriBlend markers. These are some of my favorite alcohol markers. Each pen comes with three shades which is a such a time saver. Having three shades in one is also a benefit for beginning alcohol marker users. No more searching to find the perfect shadow shade – it’s already built-in.

Shading these Daisy Meadow images was so relaxing and simple to do with the TriBlends. I used a combination of Golden Yellow, Corals, Vintage Blue, and Antique Pink to create these stunning little gems.

I chose these colors to match my paper patterns. Even though Antique Blue might not seem like a color for leaves, it matched the Peacock color perfectly.

After shading the flowers, I added a dash of clear shimmer to each of the flowers, some loops of Silver Embellishing Thread, and Daisy Meadows Dots.

If you would like to learn how I created each of these Simple Floral Meadows cards, you can view the video below. In this video you will learn a few TriBlend Marker tips & tricks.

I hope that this project showed you a few new ways to use the Daisy Meadows Scrapbook bundle and Sentiments & Stitched stamp sets. Now head on over to Kim Loewen’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all of the blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas.

Remember, the Stamptacular sale ends April 30th. Many of the thin cut bundles are only available while supplies last, so make sure you snag a few at a discount before they are gone for good.

It’s a Stamp-tacular Sale!

This year’s Stamptacular sale is here and you are going to relish the savings! During this month-long stamp extravaganza, you can save 35% on selected stamps and up to 50% on Thin Cuts bundles.

Stamping is a huge part of who we are here at Close To My Heart, and we’re thrilled to have this opportunity to share our wondrous selection of stamp sets a little more love. I have used quite a few stamps in my crafting career, and I am not being biased when I say that these stamps are the best quality sets of their kind on the market. They will last you for many crafting years to come.

Not only are the current stamps on sale, but you can also shop some of our most popular retired sets. We have brought back some of your favorites during the month of April. Here are just a few that you might have missed out on.

Throughout the month, you can enjoy incredible deals on stamp and thin cuts bundles during the Stamptacular sale. Many of our stamps include a set of matching dies. These are my favorite types of stamp sets! There is no need to fussy cut out the image – you just have to use the matching metal die with a die cutting machine to create the perfect die-cut.

All Stamp + Thin Cuts bundles are only available while supplies last and may run out before the Stamptacular special is over. Be sure to order early so that you can be sure to get all the stamps and Thin Cuts you have your eyes on before they disappear for good! Here are just a few of my favorites that are in the sale.

You can view all the Thin Cuts collections on my website OR download a flier HERE to view all the collections that we have available.

For those of you who are new to stamping OR want to learn a few new stamping techniques, you can view my recent Stamping 101 mini-class. In honor of Stamptacular, I went live for the first time on my facebook page. I wanted to share ways that you could use these amazing stamps. After all, if you’re going to stock up on stamps while they are on sale, you might as well learn how to use them.

I hope that my little video inspired you to try a few new things with your stamps and that you were able to learn something new. Don’t forget! All the Stamptacular deals are available from April 1 through April 30 while supplies last. Once a stamp set or stamp bundle sells out, it is gone for good. If you are a VIP, you get 15% back in rewards when you shop the sale – it’s a win! win!

I hope you have a wonderful week!

Stamptacular Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamptaclaur Stamp & Thin Cuts Blog Hop where we will be featuring products from our February STAMPTACULAR Sale. 84330596_10157170281087686_7523724538614382592_nIf you have come here from Michelle Loncar’s blog, you are on the right path!  When you are finished reading my post, you can click on the link at the end to move to the next blog. This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of artwork created by some very talented consultants.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

For this month’s hop, I decided to use two of my favorite stamp sets from the Stamptacular sale.  When I purchase a stamp set and/or matching thin cut die, I am careful to choose ones that I will use again in the future, and the two that I used on my Beautiful Things card are definitely well loved.

Not only do I want to be able to use my stamps multiple times, I like to use them in multiple ways. For example, on this card I used the Perk Up Stamp set and dies to stamp and cut out the coffee cup and create the domed lid. Even though this set does not come with a domed lid image, I was able to trace the “lid” and a circle die onto some vellum and create the dome shape I needed.

I was also able to use the coffee sleeve image in an unexpected way.  By flipping the stamp over onto the block, I was able to use some inks to create a shadow around the edges using the Rock-n-Roll technique.  This allowed me to use some patterned paper and have a shadow around my sleeve.

Stamps with sentiments are also one of favorites and big, bold statements, like this Full of Beauty stamp, are always added to my collection.  Sentiments like these are great for cards, album covers, and scrapbook pages. They are also fun to use on home decor pieces. Honestly, you can never go wrong with a big, bold, kind sentiment especially when it is on sale for only $5.00 this month.

Now ‘Hop” on over to Darlys Recker’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas. The STAMPTACULAR stamp & thin cuts will only be available while supplies last, so be sure to contact your CTMH Consultant, or visit my website to order a few of those stamps and dies that have been on your wishlist.
