It’s Into the Wild with Heart2Heart, and I can’t wait to show you what I created. Before I do, I wanted to remind you that these challenges are open to everyone♥ throughout the entire month. To enter, simply link the design that you created with CTMH products to your blog or online gallery and link it back to this Heart2Heart challenge. It’s so easy.
For the Into the Wild challenge, I decided to step outside the box♥ a little bit. I feel that there are times we won’t purchase a product because of the name, or, because of how we see it being used. Today, and I going to show you a few different ways that you can use some of our Close to My Heart products and maybe you will join me outside the box.
Here is the layout I created using our Into the Wild products. As you can see below, the Into the Wild products “appear” to be designed for adventures and baby boy projects. Do you see any of those themes in my layout?♥
Of course not. I chose papers that would complement my photos.♥ The blue tones and star patterns were perfect for a patriotic, small town parade. I added the star die cuts, a cute saying sticker, and a portion of a title from the complements. Not a single one being used as intended. Do you want to know what else I used “outside the box”? Our Share the Joy Thin Cut die.
I carefully cut a solid border by placing my die onto the cutting plates in a way that the die would not cut through in the center and create a solid piece. This took a little time, but the outcome is adorable. I wanted the border to appear like a shaker element,♥ but did not want all of the sequins to shake to the bottom of the page. I decided to glue the sequins in place so that they appeared to be randomly moving on the page. How fun is that?!
So, here are my challenges to you, my friend.
- Share one of your creations at the Heart2Heart blog or at least stop by and be inspired by some lovely artwork.
- Think outside the box a little. Just because the paper suite has a specific title or a die was used for cards, doesn’t mean you can use it some other way.
I hope that this layout inspires you to get your photos off your phone and onto a page. Record those memories and share your creations with us at the Heart2Heart blog.

We are playing with the Into the Wild Collection at the Color My Heart Color Dare blog, and I hope that I can inspire you to create something new♥ with this Life is a Road Trip layout. You can use any row, column, or set of colors from this Tic-Tac-Toe “Into the Wild” Color Palette in your creation. (Black & White Free – NO Extra Neutrals).
The Into the Wild Collection is one of my favorites this season, and I chose to pair it with the Happy Trails Stamp set to create a layout that explains life as a mom – it’s quite an adventure. ♥ If you wish to recreate this layout, you can find the complete list of supplies I used at the very bottom of this post.

With four kids, ages 1 – 6, we chose to spend many days outdoors and often made trips to the Rocky Mountains to fish, hike, or just let the kids climb and burn energy. Life with littles can be like a road trip – rocky, adventurous, full of twists and turns, and always worth the journey.♥ As you can see here, I described my adventures using a few of the Into the Wild Complements throughout my page.
I am sure you are wondering why I chose to describe motherhood on an road trip layout. Well, I believe that scrapbooking is about more than just recording where we have been or what we are doing…it’s about how we feel in the moment.♥ Attempting to get a photo of four kids, traveling a few hours to get them out of the house, visiting the same spot we visit a few times every summer – these are more than just photos of where we have been – these are photos of life as a young mom trying to make sure her kids are still alive at the end of the day.
It is because life is like a Road Trip ~ always worth taking & you need to enjoy every minute of it.
I hope that I have inspired you to create something new this week and I would love to see your creation♥ on the Color My Heart Color Dare blog. You don’t have to have a blog to participate. You can load your link through Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, or SplitCoast Stampers. You can read the complete list of rules HERE.

I enjoy spending most of my summer days outdoors, but this week’s weather has “forced” me into my workroom and allowed me to join a few paper crafting challenges. As I searched through some of my favorites, I came across two challenges that inspired me♥ to create this Enjoy Life card which uses one of our featured stamp sets from our June special.
The first challenge is the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge where I was inspired by this sketch. As you can see, I used the Camper image from Happy Trails Stamp set and some of the sentiments to match the sketch for my card.
Don’t forget that this stamp set comes with a free kit this month.
To create the multi-layered Camper, I stamped the image onto some Linen Cardstock and two patterns from the Into the Wild paper packet. I then cut apart the images and paper-pieced the Camper together. Isn’t it just the cutest?♥
The second challenge I joined was the Heart2Heart Woodwork challenge where we are to incorporate some wood grain♥ or some cute new wooden shapes into our projects. It’s difficult to see, but the patterned paper background has a slight wood grain behind the geometric image. I also added some of our Wooden Shapes as embellishments. I like the simplicity of these shapes and how they enhance our projects.
I hope that this card inspires you to join one, or both, of these challenges.♥ Don’t forget to get your FREE KIT when you purchase the Happy Trails Stamp set in the Best Moments are Free Bundle. This special is only available, while supplies last, during the month of June.
