Don’t Forget to Take Advantage of these January Specials

For me, the month of January just flew by. I am not sure if it was due to the fact that I had two weeks off from work or that time just seems to go by quicker now that I am older. Either way, if you are like me, you may have forgotten about some of the Exclusive Specials during the month of January.

For National Paper Crafting Month, Close to My Heart designed a beautiful Wooden Wreath Kit for you to create. Each All Around Creativity wreath measures sixteen inches, includes laser cut flowers, leaves, and a bow, and is super easy to assemble.  You can choose from five different sentiments to match your home decor or the occasion you are celebrating.

Each kit also includes FOUR different paper patterns to choose from to create your background. As a special added bonus, I am offering a FREE ONLINE CLASS to anyone who purchases one of the these All Around Creativity wreath kits. In this class, I will show you some tips and tricks for creating the wreath, how to color your wreath and flowers, and show you how I added some simple touches to personalize it for your home or special occasion.

Here’s peek of a project from one process videos I created for the online class.

January is also the final month for our Urban collection.  This popular collection was brought back for those of us who enjoy that distressed, metropolitan, steampunk look in our paper crafts.

This collection of papers and stickers along with the workshop kit and stamp set will no longer be available after January 31st.  I have been able to make some fun creations using the Urban collection and I plan to make even more in the future.

I hope that you have enjoyed this month’s creations and that you are looking forward to what is to come. During the month of February you can still purchase the two Valentine Specials (Oh My Heart paper pack & the Be Mine Banner) and you will have the chance to save 50% on one of our most popular products. Can you guess what it is?

You will have to wait until the first of February to find out. Make sure you are receiving my Newsletter and are following Miss. Carrie’s Creations on both Facebook & Instagram to find out what we have to offer you in February.

Valentine Balloon Treat Basket Design Space File Give Away

I have missed you all so much, that I decided to host a Valentine Give-Away.  These past few weeks I have been battling the flu and have missed being able to create in my Craft Space.  I am so grateful to all of you who sent well wishes as I have been recovering. Today, I have decided that, in lieu of a new creation (which I don’t have),  I will be giving away a Free Cricut® Design Space File of my Valentine Hot Air Balloon Treat Basket to FIVE people.

These fun hot air balloons we inspired by an adorable creation I found while looking though some VERY OLD paper crafting magazines and I couldn’t wait to figure out how to recreate them in Design Space.®  Not only will I be giving away the Design Space© file I made, these five people will also receive the process video showing how to assemble these delightful Valentine Hot Air Balloons!

How Do I Enter the Drawing?

You will need to own the images I used to create each one of these Valentine’s Day Hot Air Balloons.  Most of these are images I manipulated from the Close to My Heart Artiste collection and a few are from images that are available with the Cricut© Access Subscription.   These adorable balloons were created as Valentine gifts with the Oh My Heart paper and Stickers, but, if you are wanting a balloon decoration year-round, you can make one like I did for my Craft Space.

On this delightful little piece of art, I used the Urban papers and sticker pack. I adore the vintage, steam-punk, distressed look of Urban and it matches perfectly with the other decor items in my Craft Space. Unfortunately, this paper pack is only available through January 31st, so, if you enjoy these designs, you will need to purchase this pack soon.

I hope that you are well, have avoided getting this nasty illness going around, and that you are excited to win one of the Cricut® Design Space Files.  I am excited to get back into my Craft Space and start sharing some new creations with you.

Bring Back My Pack – Urban Blog Hop

Welcome to the Bring Back My Pack URBAN Blog Hop where we will be featuring products from our distressed, industrial Urban collection. 80522132_10157018008727686_7350588741850759168_nIf you have come here from Brenda Lapp’s blog, you are on the right path!  When you are finished reading my post, you can click on the link at the end to move to the next blog. This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of artwork created by some very talented consultants.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

How do you feel about the rustic patterns in the Urban collection? Most see the industrial motifs, the roughed patterns, the splatters, and the blueprints, and wonder if they will be able to use them on anything other than metropolitan photos. Well, today, friends, I want to show you that Urban is so much more than it appears to be.

When I first spotted the re-make of this paper packet, that title jumped out at me. Most parents know that a positive attitude can make or break any activity your child is involved in.  In our family, each child was to learn music, join a sport, have a hobby, and be apart of something at church.  Our attitude affected their attitude as they were exposed to new things – like playing the piano.

As I assembled this layout and added each of the layers and embellishments, I wanted it to reflect what life is like teaching three energetic boys how to play the piano – chaotic, rough, and rewarding.  I also wanted to reflect the melodic nature of the piano with the swirling stamps and staff-like stenciling.

I hope that this layout has inspired you to take another look at the Urban collection. If you would like to learn how I created this layout and learn a few tips along the way, you can view the process video below.  (If you have a minute, please subscribe to my channel.)

Now ‘Hop” on over to Krista Hershberger’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas. These Urban products are only available through January 31stwhile supplies last, so be sure to contact your CTMH Consultant, or visit my website to order the supplies to make this layout.

I can’t wait to see what you create!
