This week, at the Heart2Heart blog, we are hosting an Anything Goes ~ Holiday Edition challenge and we would love for you to join in the fun.♥ What does “anything goes” mean? As long as you use some Close to My Heart products in your design, we would love for you to share your HOLIDAY creation with us at Heart2Heart.
There were a few of you who saw my “accidental” posting and a video hinting of this little creation last week. It has been a while since I have posted a Cricut™ creation with a tutorial, so (another teaser) I will be posting some instructions for this Bethlehem Nativity Shadow Box♥ later in the week.
For now, you get to see this lovely little shadow box I created using some images from our new Complete Creativity Collection. After stamping the image at the top onto some Mix Ins paper, I cut each on of the town images to fit into the recesses of the shadow box.
The Poinsettia and Evergreen boughs are also from various images in the Complete Creativity collection. After cutting the images from cardstock and vellum, I added a little shine with some Shimmer Brushes.
If you are interested in creating this Bethlehem Nativity Shadow Box, please subscribe to my newsletter, join my VIP group, or follow me online (FB or IG). I will be posting the tutorial on each of these for all to see.
I hope that this creation has inspired you and that you join us at Heart2Heart for one of our December challenges. Don’t forget to link up your creations before December 31st.
♥ I can’t wait to see what you create!

Christmas is right around the corner, and I am doing my best to get some cards made before it’s too late. (Although, I will admit, have been known to mail them on Christmas Eve.) Before we get into the Christmas hustle,♥ we have another challenge for you at Heart2Heart.
This Black Friday challenge is one of those themes that is left for your imagination to decipher. In the US, Black Friday was originally designed as a way for stores to get “out of the red” and “into the black” before the end of the year. For me, it meant designing a card using as much BLACK as possible,♥ leading me to create this Joy to the World Christmas card.
After learning why Black Friday was originally created, I found this card quite fitting♥ – “getting out of the black and into the red” or “out of the darkness and into the light.” Personally, I feel like the photos do not do the card justice. The sentiment was stamped in White Pigment ink using the Joy to the World stamp set, then heat embossed with White Embossing Powder.
After wrapping the Silver Embellishing Thread, I attached the Black cardstock to a piece of distressed White Daisy cardstock, then layered it atop Silver Foil Paper. The Poinsettia was cut on my Cricut™ from White Daisy, Vellum, and Black cardstock. I wish you could see all the glitter and opaque layers on this card.♥ Like I said, the photo does not do it justice.
I hope that this card has inspired you to join us at the Heart2Heart blog for this month’s challenge. While you are there, make sure to check out the other November challenges.
