A Father’s Day Fancy Fold Card

I truly enjoy teaching new techniques and showing crafters, like you, how to use supplies you have in your craft room. This past month, I began a new series on Facebook called Fun Fold Friday, and this Father’s Day card is just one of the projects I created in May. If you didn’t have a chance to join me, you can view the video at the bottom of this post.

This simple version of a double flap card was easy to make using a standard A2 size card base. After removing half of the front panel, I added some blue belle and black pattern papers from a variety of paper collections.

The flap on the right side of the card was created using some additional cardstock, pattern paper, and tags cut from our new Mix-In pack. One of the pattern sheets in that pack is full of wonderful banners and tags which I also used on my Daddy’s Boy layout. Those layers of tags and banners add such a fun element to the design.

On one of the tags, I added a tassel of black embroidery thread to mimic a fishing fly. I thought it would add to the theme of the card which includes some images from the My Dad Rocks stamp set.

The images themselves were stamped using Espresso ink then shaded with a little watercolor paint. Since these inks are water-based, they did fade a little when the paint was added, but I like the way it turned out.

If you like this Father’s Day stamp and need a few more ideas, click here to see another card I created.

Along with this Father’s Day card, I also shared how to make a similar card using our Lovely collection. This double flap card design looks so beautiful, yet it is so simple to make once you learn a few little tricks.

For those of you who missed Fun Fold Friday, here is a link to the video from my Facebook page that you can view.

If you wish to see more Fun Fold Friday tutorials, you can visit my Facebook page and follow me online. I will be posting the schedule of upcoming tutorials in my Events so that you know when the next Fun Fold Friday will take place.

Thank you to everyone who joined me for my first live events. I hope you enjoyed these projects and were encouraged to try something new.

You Are Enough Is Simply Stunning

In May, we celebrate Nation Scrapbooking AND Mental Health Awareness. For me, these two go hand-in-hand. Crafting and memory keeping are great ways to re-live your best memories. They can be cathartic exercises that help you remember the best in yourself and others. When you create artwork with positivity at its core, you not only renew the happy feelings associated with those memories, but you also create new ones as you continue to do what you love. That is just one of the many reasons why I am loving the new You Are Enough Collection!

This gorgeous gemstone-inspired collection is the perfect foundation for inspirational artwork. The You Are Enough suite is full of dazzling patterns, eye-catching foil accents, and uplifting sentiments. It includes a stunning combination of patterned papers, rose gold cardstock, stickers, sequins, pocket cards, stamps, and butterfly thin cuts, and it is perfect for scrapbook layouts, cards, and other personalized artwork.

Along with all the exciting products in the You Are Enough collection, this special also includes two discounted bundles and three workshop options. The discounted bundles are available at up to 30%-off and offer various groupings of You Are Enough products, so you can pick and choose the bundle that works best for you and your crafting vision.

Here is What Your Get in Your Everything Bundle

Of course, the Everything Bundle has the greatest discount, but you also have a few other bundles to choose from. The You Are Enough workshops include a cardmaking, a scrapbooking, and a 6″ x 8″ Everyday Lifeโ„ข album workshopโ€”each of which comes with pre-designed projects and instructions on how to put them together!

Each of these bundles includes the supplies you need to make the projects that will be featured at the You Are Enough Live Workshops in June. You can view each of the projects you are going to make and download the cutting guides using the links below.

I have already started creating a few projects using You Are Enough including a Back to School scrapbook page and a few fun fold cards I created for the You Are Enough blog hop. Today, I spent a few minutes on my Facebook page showing how to make those fun fold cards I created for the blog hop. Here is a simple little tutorial for you.

The You Are Enough collection is full of possibilities and options. You can choose to purchase the items from the collection and create whatever you want or purchase the workshop kits and bundles available through this special.

Remember! There are two discounted product bundles available through the You Are Enough special. – the You Are Enough Paper Bundle is available at a 20% discount, and the You Are Enough Product Bundle is available at a 30% discount – BUT they are only available while supplies last. If you are on the fence about this collection, don’t wait too long. It may be gone before you climb down.

Unboxing My New Spring Supplies

Spring is one of my favorite seasons and I can’t wait to show you all of my new supplies from the March/April catalog. Since the beginning of February, I have had these gorgeous spring papers, stamps, and thin cuts sitting in my craft space just waiting to be used on my spring projects. Once you take a look at these new paper crafting goodies, you will understand why I can’t wait to start creating.

Each season, we have two new paper collections, some Mix-in papers, stamps, and thin cut dies. When I first opened the catalog, I immediately started making a wishlist and it just kept growing.

First on my list were the new paper collections and matching Cricut collections. Daisy Meadows and Eat Play Love are filled with bright, springtime shades and designs. Each of these collections also has a matching Cricut collection that coordinates perfectly with the paper pack, pocket cards, and stickers.

After adding the papers, stickers, and Cricut Collections to my carts, I grabbed a few packs of Mix-In papers. Many of you know that these are some of my favorite patterns to use on my projects. Our Mix-Ins are designed to coordinate with our current paper packs, but I love using them on all of my projects. The subtle designs and clean patterns are perfect for cards, scrapbooks, and home dรฉcor.

Next on my list — KITS. These scrapbook and card kits are designed with you in mind. Each kit includes the supplies you need to make the project and they each teach you a new paper crafting technique you can use on your future projects.

In my Facebook group, I stream each of the Live events showing you how to make each of these kits. You can join me at the online events and create these kits with me during the workshop.

Each kit includes items that you cannot get anywhere else in the catalog. The stamps and dies in the card kits are only available with the kit, so, if you love those little cherries as much as I do, you will need to grab the kit. For those who are in my Facebook group, I offer the option to purchase more of the bulk papers that come in card kit. These are only available to consultants, but I know that many of you may want to make more cards – so I add this little perk for all my members.

After adding papers, stickers, pocket cards, and kits, I grabbed a few stamps and dies. There were two must-have sets on my wishlist, but I know that there will be a few on yours after you watch my catalog walkthrough video.

I also grabbed the two stamp of the month stamp sets. As a Maker, I can order these three months ahead of time which allows me to plan a few projects for you. Our stamp of the month sets are only available for one month. If you are a VIP, you can get these stamps FREE! Learn how to become a VIP.

Are you as excited as I am about all these new spring products? I bet the wheels are starting to turn and you just can’t wait to make something new. All of the items I shared with you are available in the March/April catalog while supplies last. If you would like a copy of the catalog, you can get one free with your order OR contact me and I can mail one to you. (I do ask that you pay the shipping costs to mail the catalogs.)

I hope you have a wonderful week and I look forward to seeing your spring projects.
