Most of the time, I use my stamps for quick titles and forget that there are numerous other ways they can be used on a scrapbook page. In today’s video, I am going to show you how to create masked background images and unique embellishments with your stamps.
The memory-keeping project was created using components in the March HipKit. This multicolored grid design is a great one to create with stamps, stickers, die cuts, and rub-on transfers.
The bright background was created using stamps. Having paint swishing and ink blotches in your collection allows you to create mixed media-like designs without the mess. On this page, I added some subtle leaf arrangements with masked images. I share this simple technique in my video.
I also used stamps to create personalized embellishments. Many of the pieces in the gird were created using phrase and word stamps in the kit.
I paired those stamped pieces with stickers, die cuts, and brads to create a color block design. As I assembled the grid, I chose items that spoke to the personalities of the girls in the photo.
On the left side of the page, I added a title with rub-on transfer color splotches and a title sentiment. To make this more unique, I stamped the word enjoy above it and added a few lines with a black pen.
Using stamps to personalize an embellishment or a title creates a unique page that speaks to the memory you are recording. These simple touches add so much detail to a layout design.
In my video, I share a few more ways to use stamps on your layout and share how this page came together. I hope it inspires you.
The techniques I shared are very basic and easy to replicate on your scrapbook layouts. I hope that you give a few of these a try.
