Create Pet Christmas Scrapbook Pages

Christmas is the time of year when we memory-keepers take multiple photos for our albums. I know that your camera roll is starting to fill with pictures of the tree, outings, and events, but I want to encourage you to grab a few shots of your furry family members, too.

SUPPLIES | Hearth & Holiday Collection, Hearth & Holiday Florals, Deck the Halls, Wood Label, Kisses Stencil, Bundled Sage Ink, Glitter Paste, Die Release Tool, Foam Dots, Skinny Foam Tape, Bearly Art Glue, Tape Runner, Glassboard (Save 20% with Carrie20), Photo Printer, Sewing Machine, Canva

These photos were taken of our little friend peeking out from underneath the Christmas tree. Many of our pets are curious about the decorations added to the home, so take a few moments to get close and snap a photo.

When you record those memories, add some little phrases or fun titles. On this page, I added a little woodie label to remind me of how our pet enjoyed peeking through the branches of the tree.

I chose to keep this page more traditional to Christmas with some poinsettias, an acrylic tree, and a holiday title. These created a nice backdrop for my desaturated photos.

One of the most difficult tasks when taking photos of your pets is avoiding the reflection in their eyes. Try your best not to use a flash and take the photos square on or from below their faces.

As you are recording your memories, remember to keep it simple and let the photos remain the focus of the page. I like to stick with a single collection and some matching elements from my perspextive collection.

On this layout, I paired Hearth & Holiday with Bramble Fox elements. I kept the background simple with ledger paper, added a little glitter stenciling to fill in some white space, and framed my photos with florals and pine boughs.

The title is a traditional Christmas phrase that helps tell the story of how frustrated our pet was by all the additions to her home. In my video, I show you how this page came together and share some fun stories of our pup under the tree.

This page came together quickly because I limited myself to one paper pack kit and ephemera, chose my perspectives, and had some adorable photos. I encourage you to grab a few of your pets this Christmas.
