A Simple Fall Layout with Cut Files

One of the simplest ways to amp up a layout is with a cut file. These are digital designs that you can use with your cutting machine and use on your projects. This month, I joined COAPA Cut File 20 Days of Christmas to share a lovely autumn design I created.

SUPPLIES| Fall Stacked Frame, Autumn Leaves, Vellum Sheets, Copper Paper, Hello Autumn Paper Collection, Hello Pink Chipboard Stickers, Indigo Garden Foam Sticker, Indigo Garden Sticker Book, Maggie Holmes Sticker Book, Pink Flatback Pearl, Scissors, Silicone Mat, White Gesso, Distress Crayons, Die Release Tool, Foam Dots, Skinny Foam Tape, Bearly Art Glue, Tape Runner, Glassboard (Save 20% with Carrie20), Photo Printer, Sewing Machine, Canva

Today’s theme is foliage & leaves, so I selected two designs to use on my page. The larger image is a stacked frame with fall images and the second was a set of fall leaves. The design for this page is simple with some florals and a few stickers.

The leaves that were part of the frame were filled in with some pattern paper and cardstock. I used the contour tool in Cricut Design Space to cut these pieces out and place them in the frame like a puzzle.

The additional leaf images were a layered design, but I chose just to use the background pieces. After cutting these out, I added some stitching and distressed them with a sanding block.

In the corner of the cut file frame, there is a pumpkin image. I didn’t feel like it fit my layout, so I covered it with florals.

I made my color choices based on the photo. The pink, blue, and yellow hues were the colors I selected with some bits of copper here and there to bring in a warm fall feel.

The title was created with a few stickers and a leaf image. I left the area below the title blank because this is a page for the couple to fill out. I want them to be able to add their story to the layout.

In my video, I show you how this page came together and share a few tips for creating a simple fall layout.

I selected two COAPA cut files to create a page to record some engagement photos and I love how it turned out.  If you would like to recreate this layout, stop by the COAPA cut file shop and enjoy some of the discounts being offered.
