One of the simplest scrapbook layouts to create is a grid design. The page is divided up into quadrants and each space is treated as a separate component. Today, I have a precious holiday page that I created for a Scrapbook.com collaboration that features some new rub-on embellishments that I just love using.

The Peppermint Holiday rub-on transfers I used on this page are part of the Christmas Essentials bundle. This new collection is currently priced at a huge discount and worth snagging for your holiday creations. If you are new to using rub-on transfers on your projects, I have a few tips to share with you.

These designs can be layered over other flat pieces and over each other. On my page, I wanted to place an adorable deer image over a paper circle. I used some mint tape to hold the transfer in place then gently rubbed over the transfer onto my page.
Using mint tape is essential when applying rub-on transfers. Not only does it prevent your image from shifting, but it works like a hinge that allows to you check if all the image has been transferred to the page without moving the paper.

On the ornament cluster, I was able to layer the baubles and bows onto my page to create a layered look. These designs can be layered on top of each other because they are opaque. Simply use your mint tape to keep the image in place, and transfer the design over to the second image.
I chose to transfer the additional pieces onto a separate piece of cardstock and fussy cut them out to create a three-dimensional look. The nature of these images will allow you to layer these on top of each other if you want to recreate this look without having to cut out the images.

These rub-on transfers make great little embellishments on your projects. I used them like I would acrylic dots or gems, placing them randomly on the page. If you happen to make a mistake, they can be removed with a sanding eraser.
On this layout, I used the rub-on transfers as embellishments in clusters and individually. I also used one for my title.

The word wishes was part of another sentiment designed to go onto a card, but I felt like it would make the perfect title for my page. I cut the sentiment apart on the transfer sheet and added it to the page with a few little snowflake images.
Another element in this Christmas Essentials bundle I fell in love with was the Stitched Border strips. These embossed designs are perfect for your cards and scrapbook pages.

I do not have a process video for this page, but I did create a short little reel on my Instagram and Facebook profiles. My husband recently had surgery and there were a few complications that have required me to be at his side. I will be taking a little break for a few weeks until he starts to feel better.
In the meantime, feel free to comment if you have any questions about how this page came together. I hope you are doing well and have an amazing holiday season.
