Simple Gift Decorating Ideas

In November, the days here get shorter and my schedule gets busier, so I like being able to use all-inclusive kits to make my life a little easier. This month, I discovered the new kits from Violet Studio and really enjoyed using the Gift Decorating Bundle to add a little holiday pizzazz to my jelly jars.

One of our favorite gifts to give is homemade jelly or jam.  This year, my berries didn’t do well so I didn’t think I would have any jelly to make, but God blessed us with ten gallons of grapes from a coworker so we have plenty to gift away. These gift-decorating ideas are ones I used for jelly, but they would work for any gift in a jar.

These jars were simple to decorate and turned out so cute. On the largest, I wrapped pattern paper and twine around the center, added a little tag, and topped it off with a twine bow with pom-poms. You can also wrap paper over the tops of your jars or use a circle die to add a little bit of pattern to the lid.

To decorate the lids, I used washi tape from the kit. You could also wrap the rims with twine or ribbon, but I prefer using washi tape because it’s easy to remove.

The Gift Decorating Bundle includes printed ribbons, holiday twine, washi tape, sweet little pom-poms, a roll of stickers, and printed tags with twine. It is all placed inside an adorable reusable box that I plan on using for another gift.

In my video, I share all the contents of the kit and show you how to decorate each of these adorable little jelly jars.

Quick simple gifts like these are great to have on hand during the holidays.  We always had a few sitting in a basket each Christmas just in case I forgot a teacher gift, needed a hostess gift, or wanted to thank a neighbor.
