I have joined the Creative Design team for the August collab where we are sharing some travel-themed projects you can make. Today, I am going to share how to add foiled images to one of my Disney pages using the Glimmer Hot Foil system.
I was inspired by the amazing architecture and details in the Moroccan pavilion at Epcot, so I selected a mix of elements from my collection to match the theme of the photos. I selected three photos for this page which I printed in a smaller size to fit in my Disney album.
One thing that struck me the most at the Moroccan pavilion was the texture of the tile, the ironwork, and in the architecture. I wanted to bring some of that texture to this page, so I used Grave texture paste with a dot stencil on the background. This is a Halloween product, but the stone color is perfect for this page.
I added some contrast to the page with some lovely foiled images. These magnolias were created using hot foil plates with some pewter foil.
I debated adding color to the petals, but felt like it would have taken the focus away from the photos. The pewter color matches the elements on this page so well and reminded me of the ironwork throughout the area.
The journaling for this page is hidden behind the pattern paper in a pocket. I attached a tab to the top with a sticker so that viewers would know where to find the story.
To bring some natural elements to the page, I added some butterflies. These were taken from the sticker book and they were a bit thin, so I backed them with cardstock to make them sturdy enough for the page.

Just because a page is in a theme park doesn’t always require the use of theme park elements. My memories were of the architecture, gardens, and texture which I brought to the page with foiled elements, texture paste, and stencils.
