Create a Bookmark with Acetate & Vinyl

I have truly enjoyed creating for the Coffee Loving Cardmaker blog this summer, sharing coffee-loving ideas with all of you. Most of my projects have been card designs, but today, I decided to share a simple Cricut project and show you how to make some bookmarks with acetate and vinyl.

Like most of my projects, I used a combination of Cricut and cardmaking supplies. I enjoy showing you that there are multiple ways to create with the supplies you own.

Each bookmark is made of acetate that I decorated with vinyl designs. I cut two clear pieces and one with foil polka-dots. This is a pre-printed acetate I have in my collection, and it makes the cutest boxes.

The designs are cut from premium or permanent vinyl. This variety of vinyl tends to hold up better to continued usage and sticks well to the acetate.

The coffee bean design is one that I captured from the image library, and the two coffee phrases are SVGs in my collection. If you are a coffee-lover like me, you may own a few images you can use.

At the top of each bookmark, I assembled a patterned sunflower. I love all the layers in this die set.

In the centers of the flowers, I added stickers and stamped images. These little coffee cups are some of my favorite stamps and they were perfect for this project.

In my video, I show you how to create these bookmarks in Cricut Design Space and I share a few vinyl tips.

The recipient of these bookmarks will enjoy using them whenever they sit with a good book and a cup of coffee. They are easy to recreate using papers, stamps, or floral elements in your stash.

If you have any questions about this project or the supplies I used, feel free to post those in the comments below. If you are inspired, I would love for you to share your project with me by tagging @misscarriescreations.
