Create a Watercolor Tulip Tag

Tags are such simple projects to create, and they are a great way to use up some of your paper scraps. Earlier this month, I shared two projects in a watercolor seed packet video with you, and this tag is another example of something you could make for Mother’s Day.

For this month’s Creative Design Team collab, we are Celebrating Mothers. Instead of a typical card or layout, I chose to show you some projects you could make year-round, like this vintage tag.

The tag was cut on my Cricut Joy from spring pattern paper and blue cardstock. I love the mix of the blues and browns with the bright yellow tulips.

After adhering pieces of the tag together, I added a bit of vintage washi tape across to the top. I felt that it paired well with the vintage seed packet image.

The tulips are shaded using watercolors. In my video turial, I didn’t show the process of adding color to the tulips, but I do have a live video in my Facebook group.

Instead of cutting out the image, I chose to keep it a rectangular shape, like a seed packet. I framed it with some kraft paper and added a small sticker sentiment below it.

If you missed the video showing all three gifts made with this Seeds of Kindness stamp set, you can view it below.

This vintage tulip tag would be absolutely adorable wrapped around a potted plant, attached to a bag of tulip bulbs, or tied to a gift bag. It’s a simple project that adds a personal touch to your gift.

I hope you enjoyed all three Vintage Seed Packet creations this month. If you have any questions about the projects or the supplies I used, leave me a comment below.
