Create a Coffee Slimline on the Cricut

In April, I have the honor of being a guest designer on the Coffee Loving Card Maker Blog. Today, I have a beautiful floral slimline card that shows my love of coffee and gardening. In my video tutorial, I show how to create that window panel in Cricut Design Space using the position tool and share how to create bright spring flowers with distress oxide inks.

This unique design is one that you can create using just about any coffee background stamp and floral dies in your collection. I chose a fun coffee mug stamp by Trinity Stamps and used it to create a heat embossed background with layers of distress ink.

Layering the inks gave me a delightfully faded watercolor look. I love how well the Vintage Photo ink pairs with all the brightly colored florals.

The flowers for this card were cut using a variety of small dies. For the shading, I used layers of Distress Oxide inks with splatters of water and ink.

With all those lovely images and patterns, I knew that the sentiment needed to be something bold. To make it stand out, I stamped the heat embossed phrase on some coffee-colored cardstock.

The front panel for this card was created in Cricut Design space using the position and align tools. This is a design that I have been wanting to share for some time.

If you are a Cricut user, I have a simple tutorial for you on my youtube channel that shows how to make the circle windows.

As a coffee addict and gardener, I would love to receive this card from another coffee-loving friend. Don’t forget to stop by the Coffee Loving Card Makers blog to see more fun coffee-loving projects.
