Decorate a Wooden Egg with Stamps

It’s been quite a while since I have shared a home décor piece with you. Decorations are some of my favorite projects to make using items I have in my paper crafting collection. Today, I have a Floral Egg project that I created using stamps and floral dies.

The base for this egg looks like it was created with a wood-burning tool when, in fact, I used collage paper and a stamp to make the design.

The leaf image was stamped onto collage paper, then applied to the wooden egg with collage medium. After the adhesive has set, I began decorating the egg with some floral die cuts.

I chose four different dies from my collection for this design because my Cricut is otherwise occupied making an easter mandala for my online Cricut class. If you would rather cut your flowers using your Cricut machine, by all means, do that.

Windflowers in a garden are rather small and near to the ground, but this design reminded me of the sugar eggs I received as a child. The eggs I received had such stunning floral decorations on them, and I wanted this flower to be the focal point in a bed of smaller flowers.

The design for this project is rather simple and doesn’t require too many supplies. You probably own quite a few of these items in your collection. Home decor projects are a great way to use some of those items you already own.

If you would like to see how this project came together so that you can make one of your own, I have a simple video tutorial for you to follow.

Can you believe that this gorgeous project was created with a simple wooden egg, some collage paper, a simple leaf stamp, and some floral die cuts? I love finding new ways to use what I have, and home décor is one of the projects I love creating with my paper crafting supplies.

I hope that this project inspired you to try something new and create a spring decoration for your home. If you have any questions about this project or the supplies I used, feel free to leave me a comment.
