If you are like me, you have holiday papers in your collection that need using. Today, I am going to share how I took on a Topsy Turvy challenge and used Valentine papers to record something I love in a twisted way.

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you know that I have a slight obsession with coffee. This youtube challenge required that the layout not include a person or a pet, but something else we enjoy in our life. Of course, I chose coffee.
The challenge gave me a great excuse to use up some Hello Valentine papers and stickers. I also shopped my stash for some other coffee elements I had been saving and they fit perfectly on this page.

These perspectives from Bramble Fox are some of my favorites, but anything coffee is a must-have in my book.
This cup came with a set of coffee beans and little sentiment that I saved for another project. Those little beans were perfect for the corner of this page and added a visual element to draw your eyes across the layout.

All of the papers and most of the sentiments came from the Hello Valentine collection. I cut apart some of the journal cards to create new paper patterns and additional phrases. I love how the words, “let me count the ways” fit with the many ways I enjoy coffee.
Scrapbook challenges are also a great excuse to shop my stash for items that I have held onto. The floral square said “hugs & kisses”, but I had already added that phrase to the page.

In my sticker collection, I found a pink banner and another sentiment that said “you and me”. These fit perfectly over the printed statement and gave that square a layered look.
On this layout, I created a custom title using my Cricut. I wanted something that would fit vertically on the page and show what the layout was all about.

I decided on “Coffee Coffee Coffee” and cut it from two colors of cardstock using fonts that matched other fonts on the page. I used a white gel pen to add some little lines and dots. I love how they make that title really stand out.
In my video, I have a quick Cricut Design Space tutorial showing you how to make this simple title.
I hope that today’s project inspired you to use up some of your holiday papers in a new way and record something you love.
If you have any questions about the project or the supplies I used, feel free to post those in the comments below.
