Silver & Gold Masculine Scrapbook Page

When you think of Silver & Gold, what comes to mind? the Rudolph movie? bobbles on a Christmas tree? a favorite Christmas album? For me, it’s the little things that have special meaning during the holiday season. Today, I am recording one of those memories.

This Family scrapbook layout was created for the 12 Days of Christmas Inspiration YouTube hop. If you haven’t guessed it already, today’s theme is Silver and Gold.

I am not a fan of glitter or metallic, so I put a non-traditional twist on this layout. I chose grey paper patterns and soft tan tones for my page to represent the silver and the gold. I also married a few unconventional patterns on this page.

In the photo, my niece is wearing an adorable striped holiday outfit to which I matched some polka-dots and stripes. To give this page a more masculine feel, I added some deer images and plaids.

I did find a few pops of metals in my craft stash this week. My goal this month is to use up some of my collection before I do a craft room clean-out in January. You might recognize a few of the collections I used.

When I think of Silver & Gold, I am reminded of the gifts the Wisemen brought to Jesus. They were simple gifts, fit for a king, that had significance. For me, it’s the little things that give Christmas meaning. Those little treasures of blessings that we get to enjoy as a family.

That is why I chose to record this memory. It is a reminder that Christmas isn’t about all the food or the gifts, but about the time spent together as a family. If you would like to see how it all came together, I have a short process video for you.
