12 Days of Coffee Tag Box

Wouldn’t you just love it if your friend gifted you with twelve days of coffee? I know I would! That is why I created this charming set of advent coffee tags for the Creative Design Team Christmas Tag collab.

These twelve little pocket tags are so simple to make and can be created with some paper scraps and number stickers you have in your stash. In the video tutorial, I also show you how to make this sweet little box to place them all into.

Before you view the video, let me share a little more about this delightful little box and how I created it.

When the project began, I knew that I wanted to make a set of coffee tags. I have quite a few coffee stamps in my collection, and I needed an excuse to use them.

Each of the images were stamped using Intense Black ink. I chose this ink because it is a solvent-based permanent ink that will not smear with water-based or alcohol mediums. I have discovered that you do need to let the ink set for about 15 minutes before you start shading your image to ensure that the ink has dried.

The shading portion of the video goes pretty quickly. I take my time shading with TriBlend markers and I didn’t want you to have to watch all that coloring in real-time. I am planning on creating some reels on my Instagram channel showing how I shaded each of the images if you wish to learn how to color your coffee cup designs.

You know how a project can sometimes take on a life of its own. That is exactly what happened here. I started making tags, adding little scraps of paper and fun little coffee cups, and suddenly the idea of an Advent calendar popped into my head.

If you would like to make one of these 12 Days of Christmas Coffee boxes, I have a video tutorial for you.

In this video, you will learn how to shade coffee cup images with Spectrum Noir TriBlend Markers, how to assemble twelve gift card holders, and the little box to place them in.

Please subscribe to my channel so that you don’t miss out on future tutorials.

Hey, who wouldn’t want someone to pay for twelve days of coffee?! Or tea if you are into that thing. This little box was so much fun to make, and I can’t wait to fill it with gifts.

The Creative Design Team will be posting some Christmas Tag projects all week for you to enjoy. Make sure to check out each of their channels to view their creations.
