Welcome to the NSD Celebration Blog Hop

In May, we will be celebrating National Scrapbooking Day with a two-day event, so our blog hop team decided that we would showcase a few of the kits this week, and show you new ways to use the items you purchased in these bundles.

Our monthly blog hops are a wonderful way for you to gather a few ideas for future projects. Feel free to Pin these projects directly from our blogs and save them for later.  You may be just starting here or you may have come from Becca Whitham’s blog – either way, you are in the right place. When you are finished viewing my Snarky Humor cards, click the link at the end of my post to “hop” on over to the next website. If you get lost along the way, you will find the list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

Sarcasm and snarky humor are a part of my personality so when I first saw the Cheerful Humor card kit, I knew that I had to have it. Instead of using the kit right away, I chose to save it for the National Scrapbooking Day celebration and use a few other papers in my stash instead to create some cards for my friends.

I love this mix of Lagoon, Lemonade, and Candy Apple red! They just make these cards so happy and cheerful. At first glance, you see a simple classy card ….. and then you read the sentiment and start to giggle.

The papers on these cards come from two of our collections – Eat Play Love and Sweet Safari. The mix of polka dots and plaid is a classic combination that will make anyone smile. If you are making a stack of cards to send to your friends, you might want to grab yourself a package of the bulk papers.

To give these cards a timeless feel, I added lagoon and black. These colors all play so well together and make those snarky sentiments stand out.

On one of the cards, I chose to use a floral piece of the Eat Play Love pattern. Using this floral gives your cards a completely different look and feel. With these papers and the stamp set, there are so many possibilities.

When you purchase the Cheerful Humor bundle, you get this amazing E-Size stamp set with all these funny sentiments and sayings. I can’t wait to use a few of the others on my cards.

If you haven’t had a chance to see the Cheerful Humor Kit, here is what the bundle looks like. It includes the papers, cardstock, card bases, envelopes, embellishments, the Cheerful Humor stamp set, AND a downloadable cutting guide to make all these cards.

I hope that this project showed you a few new ways to use the Cheerful Humor cardmaking bundle and inspired you to create a few snarky humor cards for your friends. Now head on over to Kim Loewen’s blog to see her work!  Be sure to visit all of the blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas.

Remember, these bundles are available while supplies last. Make sure you grab a few and join me for the National Scrapbook Day Celebration online April 30th & May 1st. I can’t wait to see you there!

I hope this inspired you to try something new. If you have any questions about this project or the supplies listed above, feel free to leave me a comment.
