This month, I packed my schedule full of fun projects and three retreats – then life happened. When I realized that I needed a project for today’s blog hop, I decided to keep it super simple and use up a few of my paper scraps in the process. I am sure that many of you also have days where life “just happens” making these Simple Floral Meadows cards a perfect project for you to make.

I wanted to highlight two of my favorite stamp sets – the Daisy Meadows Scrapbooking bundle and the Sentiments & Stitches stamps. Both of these have images and sentiments I enjoy using on my creations.

The Sentiments & Stitches stamp set is an older set that is currently on sale during Stamptacular. As many of you know, I like to add stitching to my projects. This stamp set has quite a few stitch images that I can use when I don’t have time to pull out my sewing machine or hand stitch.

On this first card, I stamped the stitching across the top of the plaid Mix-In paper in Peacock ink. To create the scallop design, I used our Fancy Borders Thin cuts.

I used those borders on all three of my cards. On this second card, I use another border to create the lace. The stitched stamp was added along the side of the card onto a piece of Daisy Meadows paper.

Each of the stitched images and sentiments was paired with some beautiful florals from the Daisy Meadow Scrapbooking thin cut bundle. This set comes with matching dies to help you cut out each of the flower, leaf, and butterfly images.

I shaded each of the images using our TriBlend markers. These are some of my favorite alcohol markers. Each pen comes with three shades which is a such a time saver. Having three shades in one is also a benefit for beginning alcohol marker users. No more searching to find the perfect shadow shade – it’s already built-in.

Shading these Daisy Meadow images was so relaxing and simple to do with the TriBlends. I used a combination of Golden Yellow, Corals, Vintage Blue, and Antique Pink to create these stunning little gems.

I chose these colors to match my paper patterns. Even though Antique Blue might not seem like a color for leaves, it matched the Peacock color perfectly.

After shading the flowers, I added a dash of clear shimmer to each of the flowers, some loops of Silver Embellishing Thread, and Daisy Meadows Dots.
