Welcome to the Creativity in Motion Blog Hop

It’s National Stamping Month and we are celebrating with Creativity in Motion. 118698173_10157792632757686_706124891864027141_nThis animated stamp collection has been paired with some bright six-inch papers, tab dies, and fun animation sheets – all of which our team will be featuring today.  If you have come here from Darlys Recker’s Blog you are on the right path!  When you are finished taking a look at my Simple Butterfly Box tutorial, you can click on the link at the end to move to the next blog.  This hop is simple, fun, and full of artwork created by some very talented consultants.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

For the past three months, I have been creating quite a few animated projects using the Creativity in Motion collection, so, today, I decided to go a little rogue and feature the Bright Paper stack instead. I chose to create a simple little box using those bright six-inch papers, the Border Tab dies, and the Butterfly Kisses stamp set.

I even had time to create a little video tutorial for you, but before you scroll down to the video link, I want to tell you about this adorable little box.

As you can see, it was created primarily from the papers in the Bright Paper stack which is a collection of six-inch papers made from some of our favorite patterns scaled down to fit the smaller size.  In the video, I show you how to make this box using a single sheet of this paper.

All of the tags, tabs, and embellishments were also created using those adorable little papers.  The back of the box has a pull-out insert that was created using some polka-dot paper, white cardstock, and cut with one of the Border Tab thin cut dies.

Those fun little Border Tabs are designed to help “move or pull” the animated images on your Creativity in Motion Projects, but I have found that they also make great tag toppers, hidden journaling tabs, and box tops.  There is even a little stamp set designed to go with the tabs that you can get at a discount when you buy the Border Tab Bundle

The butterfly image is one of the lenticular stamp images in the collection that is designed to “move” with the animation sheets. This one was leftover from the butterfly layout I created earlier in the month and it fit perfectly with this design.

Alright…..enough yammering. Time to show you how you can make one of these boxes using some Creativity in Motion products.  This process video will walk you through step-by-step so that you can create a simple little box using some six-inch pattern papers.

Once you have finished making your little boxes, you can fill them with post-it notes, a fancy pen, pampering goodies, and, of course, coffee & chocolate. I hope that today’s project inspired you to use a few of your Creativity in Motion products. If you haven’t ordered any yet, make sure to stop by my website or talk to your consultant to learn how you can save 20% on the bundle during the month of September.

Now ‘Hop” on over to the talented Katy Taylor’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas using products from the Creativity in Motion collection.
