An Animated Birthday Treat for H2H

This week, at the Heart2Heart Challenge Blog, our design team is showcasing some projects with Multi-Dimensional Magic.  We would love for you to join the challenge this month and share some of your 3D creations.

Today, I have a simple Animated Birthday Box & Tag for you with a video tutorial.  I chose to use some wonderful goodies from the Creativity in Motion Collection along with some items from the new Party Time sticker sheet.  I am just loving how these turned out.

That adorable little box was created using an image from the Artiste collection and cut from the Animation Sheets and Bright Paper stacks.  You might think that it seems a little frivolous to cut a box from those animation sheets (believe me I heard the complaints from other consultants). I would liek you to know that the box is only three-inches high and it just looks so stinkin’ cute with that black striped acetate and yellow check paper.

I can’t tell you how many times a project I made cost more than if I had purchased it.  This little box was designed for someone special and the minimal cost, to me, didn’t matter.

In my video tutorial I show you how to make and cut the box in Cricut Design Space using the Artiste collectionThis collection is one of my favorites for holidays and celebrations. It is full of boxes and banners and three-dimensional fun.

The matching animated gift tag was cut using the Tags & Tabs and Stitched Rectangle Thin Cuts.  I elongated the tag (I show that in the video, too) and decorated it using some of the papers from the Bright Paper Stack

The stamp is one of our new Creativity in Motion stamps and it fit perfectly on this little tag.  This little birthday bundle will be so much fun to fill and give to someone special.

So are you ready to learn how I made the Animated Birthday Box & Tag? In my video I will walk you through the Cricut Design Space process and show you how to use the animated stamp sets.  There are a few tips & tricks in the video showing you how to line everything up and how to layer the images so that they slide smoothly.

If you are new to Cricut Design Space and enjoyed today’s tutorial, make sure to check out a few of my other videos.  Helping people learn how to use their Cricut machines is a passion of mine and I have enjoyed teaching my local and online classes for the past four years.  Being able to teach some lessons on YouTube has been a new way for me to branch out and teach more crafters, like you, how to use their Cricut.

I hope that you enjoyed today’s tutorial and that you were inspired to created some Multi-Dimensional Magic for the Heart2Heart challenge.  Make sure to link your project to the challenge before September 30th.
