Creative Ways to Use Alphabets on a Simple Summer Layout

Welcome to another Creative Design Team Video Collab! This month, our talented Creative Design Team is showing you creative ways to use Alphabets and you are going to be amazed at the projects we came up with.  When you have finished watching my video tutorial, you can click on the next video in the hop.  A complete list of the Creative Design Team & their creations can be found here on my blog

This layout began with two simple photos of my brother with his niece & nephew.  When he was eleven years old, he already had SIX who called him “uncle”.  At that age, he acted more like a sibling than an authoritative uncle.  These photos were taken in the summertime, and I wanted to reflect the joy all the kids felt when their uncle came to play, so I chose to use some of our new Stitched Together papers in the background.

In the video you will learn how I used two alphabet products to create the title and the tags on this layout.  The title was created using our Foam Alphabet Letters and I show you in the video how I used wax paper to make sure they were straight and evenly spaced apart. These letters can also be shaded to any color you like using inks, shimmer pens, markers, or paints.  Check out how I did that on my Valentine Card.

You will also learn how I created that adorable little tag full of summer phrases and added the date onto the tab.  Both the tag and the tab were created using our new Tabs & Tags Thins cuts. You are going to want to get yourself a set of these before next month’s stamp of the month arrives (hint hint

The phrases themselves were stamped using the colors listed on the Stitched Together zip-strip with our Modern Typewriter Alphabet. In the video, I show all of the inks I used to create this tag.  I also took advantage of some patterns in our Stitched Together PML cards to add a little more layers to this layout.  I love using our pocket cards on my scrapbook pages!

I hope you take a few minutes to “hop” through all of our Creative Design Team video tutorials. Each one of these talented ladies did an amazing job with their projects.
