Using Craft with Heart
Last month, I posted a tutorial and video showing you how versatile our Craft with Heart scrapbook kits can be. With each monthly package, I receive two full size themed scrapbook layouts, and, this month’s Celebrate Today layout, has a party theme. I chose to change the design just a little bit and created a video tutorial showing you how I did just that. You will find the link at the very bottom of the page.
Simply put, this layout was perfect for my Easter photos. That is one of the reasons I enjoy the Craft with Heart kits so much – they are versatile♥. You do not have to create them as shown on the page and you don’t have to use everything in the kit.
Let’s take a look at what the original layout looks like on the instruction sheet.
Can you spot the differences? Not only did I turn this into an Easter Layout, I also added a few little embellishments from our Celebrate Today collection that were not in the kit. Reason number two for loving these kits – they match our current paper collections♥.
I can pull from my leftover scraps and add to the kit knowing it is going to match perfectly. On my layout, I used some leftover Celebrate Today Vellum Die Cuts, Stickers, and PML Cards embellish my pages.
I was able to add more photos using a Pocket Plus Page Protector. So many of us have a stack of holiday photos, and, often, we create additional pages for those memories. On this layout, I decided to take advantage of those partial page protectors and add the photos to my layout – no additional pages needed♥.
