Stamptacular Blog Hop

Welcome to the Stamptaclaur Stamp & Thin Cuts Blog Hop where we will be featuring products from our February STAMPTACULAR Sale. 84330596_10157170281087686_7523724538614382592_nIf you have come here from Michelle Loncar’s blog, you are on the right path!  When you are finished reading my post, you can click on the link at the end to move to the next blog. This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of artwork created by some very talented consultants.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

For this month’s hop, I decided to use two of my favorite stamp sets from the Stamptacular sale.  When I purchase a stamp set and/or matching thin cut die, I am careful to choose ones that I will use again in the future, and the two that I used on my Beautiful Things card are definitely well loved.

Not only do I want to be able to use my stamps multiple times, I like to use them in multiple ways. For example, on this card I used the Perk Up Stamp set and dies to stamp and cut out the coffee cup and create the domed lid. Even though this set does not come with a domed lid image, I was able to trace the “lid” and a circle die onto some vellum and create the dome shape I needed.

I was also able to use the coffee sleeve image in an unexpected way.  By flipping the stamp over onto the block, I was able to use some inks to create a shadow around the edges using the Rock-n-Roll technique.  This allowed me to use some patterned paper and have a shadow around my sleeve.

Stamps with sentiments are also one of favorites and big, bold statements, like this Full of Beauty stamp, are always added to my collection.  Sentiments like these are great for cards, album covers, and scrapbook pages. They are also fun to use on home decor pieces. Honestly, you can never go wrong with a big, bold, kind sentiment especially when it is on sale for only $5.00 this month.

Now ‘Hop” on over to Darlys Recker’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas. The STAMPTACULAR stamp & thin cuts will only be available while supplies last, so be sure to contact your CTMH Consultant, or visit my website to order a few of those stamps and dies that have been on your wishlist.

  1. You blew it out of the park again. I am going to have to try making domed lids now for my cups. Thanks for sharing your creativity and beautiful artwork.
