Cherishing Her SOTM Blog Hop

Welcome to the Cherishing Her Stamp of the Month blog hop where we will be featuring a variety of projects using our exclusive February stamp set.79313734_10157017867222686_8633536275355271168_n If you have come here from Michelle Loncar’s blog, you are on the right path. This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of artwork created by some very talented consultants.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

These past few weeks I have been playing with our new Card Front Spinner Thin Cuts, and I was so excited when I discovered that the sentiments from the Cherishing Her stamp set fit perfectly.  Once I realized this, I wanted to design a special Valentine Card for our daughter to show her how unique, wonderful, sweet, and cherished she is. I hope she enjoys this Cherishing Her Spinning Valentine.

The card front was cut from cold pressed watercolor paper then stamped using our Intense Black Ink so that I could shade the images with watercolor pencils without worry of the images blurring.  While the card front was drying, I stamped the sentiments onto the “wheel” portion of the card using Sapphire and Candy Apple Inks. The words “spin me” came from the I Chews You Stamp set which just so happens to be on sale this month. (hint hint

When I had finished stamping and shading all the images, I assembled the card using the instructions from the Card Front Spinner Thin Cuts. I had so much fun making this card that I spent the rest of the afternoon making two more Valentine cards using these dies.  If you are not sure how a Spinning Card works, you simply turn the wheel and the sentiments change. In the photos below, you can see how each sentiment changes with the spin of the wheel.

How fun is that?! Each turn allows me to share how I feel about my daughter on my Cherishing Her Spinning Valentine.Personally, I think this would also make a lovely card for Mother’s Day, Grandparent’s Day, or just about any occasion where you want to show someone they are cherished.

  1. An amazing card, I love this stamp set used with the spinner die. I am going to have to try this as it is gorgeous. Guess I know what I am making this next week.

  2. YES!! I love seeing how you’ve used this stamp set for a spinner card! It is truly a spectacularly special card that I’m certain your daughter will love! ❤

  3. As always, your work is inspiring. I’ve been on the fence about that spinner card thing but you’re edging me perilously close to the “buy me now” side. Gorgeous card, and the spinning feature really takes it up a notch!
