Close to My Heart has an amazing Scrapbook Subscription program called Craft with Heart, and, this week, I decided that it was time to starting showing you how I use these layout kits. Before I share the process video of my First Farm House layout♥, I want to explain a little bit more about these monthly kits that are mailed to you each month.
Each kit comes to you with everything you need♥ to create two 2-page 12″ x 12″ scrapbook layouts including the memory protectors. It is ready to assemble, easy to make, and only requires adhesive and a journalling pen. The layout I am sharing with you arrived last fall, and, as you will see, I was able to use the Craft with Heart kit to create a memorable page of our First Farm House.
Here is the fun part.♥ This layout was not originally designed to look like this. If you look at the photos below, you will see that I used all of the elements in the kit, but in a way that fit my photos best. Since the kits each month are designed to match our current paper packets, I was able to add more elements to my page using some of my Hawthorn paper scraps.
I just love how each of the elements in the kit – stickers and die cuts – enhanced the design of my layout. By simply moving a few of them to another part of the page, I was able to create my own individual piece of art for my memories.
There are so many other little things that I did to make this page my own personal creation that I want to share with you, so I have created a process video for you♥ to view and enjoy. In this video you will be able to see how I used the original design to help me create this layout and you will also learn how I chose to add my own personal touch to the pages.
