For the Color My Heart Color Dare Blog

If you enjoy simple, monochromatic colors and sharing your creations with others, then you will enjoy this Color Dare challenge. Our Design Team has created some inspirational pieces this week on the Color My Heart Color Dare Blog using ONLY shades of blue.

To join the challenge, simply link your photo before January 16th. You don’t even need to have a blog to play – just link your photo through any online gallery.  This week, I am sharing a Beautiful Blue Snowflake card♥ that I creating using some snowflake images from the Flower Market Cricut™ Collection. 

To create the three-dimensional effect on this card, I attached some score lines onto the snowflakes, then folded them both up and down (mountain & valley), and attached them together with some foam tape. Here is a link to the tutorial  showing you how I made these using Cricut Design Space™.

I chose two pattern papers in a Glacier color along with some embossed White Daisy cardstock for my background, then layered it all atop a piece of Glacier cardstock. To embellish, I painted a Wooden Snowflake with a Black Shimmer Brush, added some loops of white thread, and placed a few Bitty Sparkles in the background. 

Once I had added all of the elements, I was struggling with finding a sentiment until I remembered our Everyday Magic stamp set had a saying about being “your own kind of beautiful” – like a snowflake. Each one of you is a special individual, created  uniquely, unlike anyone else, and you are your own kind of beautiful♥.
