Welcome to a new year of stamp of the month blog hops where we will be featuring projects each month using our exclusive stamp of the month images. This month we will be focusing on our Everyday Magic stamp set. If you have come here from Gina Brandstetter’s blog, you are on the right path! When you are finished reading my post, you can click on the link at the end to move to the next blog. This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of artwork created by some very talented consultants. If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.
All paper crafters love stamps with sentiments and this month’s stamp set, Everyday Magic, is full of fun phrases which makes it one of those must-have stamps to add to your collection. When I started creating my project, I realized that the chunky font allows for the sentiment to be the focal point♥ which is exactly what I did on my Everyday Magic card.
Although it appears like the Green Decorative strip is on the front, it is actually glued onto the right side of the inner portion of my card. The front of the card base was trimmed♥ so that my Zip-Strip could be placed on the inside. I chose to use the Strokes of an Artist stamp set to create a Mink background for my little flags that I created using our new Spruced Up papers.
I made a very loose bow with Mink Twine, glued it onto the card front, and then layered the flags onto the twine using two types of foam tape♥. The sentiment was stamped in Espresso ink onto the French Vanilla cardstock, then layered onto a piece of Sangria cardstock.
No project is complete without a little bling, so three Silver Glitter Gems were added around my flag design.
Now ‘Hop” on over to Krista Hershberger’s blog to see her work! Be sure to visit all the Consultants at their blogs to get some great crafting tips and other fun ideas.
