This blog hop is simple, fun, and full of artwork created by some very talented consultants.  If you get lost along the way, you’ll find the complete list of participating consultants on Melinda’s Blog.

How do you feel about the rustic patterns in the Urban collection? Most see the industrial motifs, the roughed patterns, the splatters, and the blueprints, and wonder if they will be able to use them on anything other than metropolitan photos. Well, today, friends, I want to show you that Urban is so much more than it appears to be.

When I first spotted the re-make of this paper packet, that title jumped out at me. Most parents know that a positive attitude can make or break any activity your child is involved in.  In our family, each child was to learn music, join a sport, have a hobby, and be apart of something at church.  Our attitude affected their attitude as they were exposed to new things – like playing the piano.

As I assembled this layout and added each of the layers and embellishments, I wanted it to reflect what life is like teaching three energetic boys how to play the piano – chaotic, rough, and rewarding.  I also wanted to reflect the melodic nature of the piano with the swirling stamps and staff-like stenciling.
