Remember that beautiful Bethlehem Nativity shadow box I created for the Heart2Heart challenge? Many of you asked for a tutorial that would show you how to create one for your home, and, today, that tutorial is ready for you to view♥.
You will need to change the sizes of the papers and images to fit your own personal shadow box. The one I used is a 7 Gypsies Solo Shadow box that was purchased at a local craft store and all of my cuts were made to fit the specific dimensions♥ of this particular shadow box. You will find the complete list of supplies I used on my project at the very bottom of this post.
After stamping and heat embossing the Joy to the World sentiment, I started creating my images in Design Space©. The town of Bethlehem comes from our Complete Creativity Collection which can only be purchased from my website♥. Each image was cut and manipulated to fit this shadow box using the Slice and Contour features in Cricut Design Space©. When you view the video, you will be able to see how I used these features on each of the images.
The Poinsettia comes from one of my favorite collections – Flower Market. After adding some Black & White Shimmer, I assembled the flower and attached it to the side of the shadow box. Those of you who are members of my VIP Group were able to watch a live tutorial on how I put this flower together.
The final step was to add some pine boughs from the Complete Creativity Collection and add a few little embellishments. If you would like to watch the full video tutorial♥ and create a Bethlehem Nativity Shadow Box for your home, you can view it below.
I hope that this project has inspired you to dust off your Cricut© and create something beautiful for your home this Christmas. Most of the supplies I used on this project will be retiring on December 31st, so make sure you stop by my website and snag them before they are gone. Please feel free to comment below with any questions you have about this project.
♥ I can’t wait to see what you create!
