A Warm Wishes Card

For the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge

Over the next few weeks, my workroom bustling with holiday projects for Thanksgiving and Christmas. I have a long list of to-do’s including creating a multitude of Christmas cards to send to family, friends, and those involved in the Awana ministry. As I search for inspiration, I am always happy to find sketches, like this one from the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge, to get my creative wheels turning.

When I first saw this sketch, I knew that I wanted to use the For The Tree ornament stamp, along with some of our new TriBlend Markers, but I never expected it to turn out like this.Once I started playing with those new markers, I couldn’t stop.

After stamping my ornament onto White Daisy cardstock, I used an Embossing Pen to adorn the image with Gold & White Embossing Powder.  To use our embossing pens, simply “write” where you will want the embossing, sprinkle the powder over the image, then heat set.  (Click here to see a quick video tutorial on these pens)

I placed the ornament onto a piece of French Vanilla cardstock that was textured with a embossing folder, then layered that atop some Kraft paper wrapped with White & Gold Twine. To add a little more interest to the card, I embossed the Kraft paper with the Snowflake embossing folder, then used a Gel Pen to add some faux stitching.

I hope that this card has inspired you to try our Embossing Pens and TriBlend Markers.  I will be posting a few more tutorials in the coming months in my VIP Group and some online classes showing how to Heat Emboss and use the new TriBlend Markers.  If you are able, stop by the Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge to see all the amazing creations made using this sketch, and join me in the challenge.

I can’t wait to see what you create!
