A Card For the Bad Days & the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

Some days you just feel like a big pile of yuck has been dumped on you and all you can do is look up to the sky and pray “God, whatever lesson you are teaching me, please make it quick.”  Lately, I have had quite a few of those days, so when I was trying to come up with a project for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop, an idea struck me at 4:00am. MissCarriesCreations-ThereAreNoWordsCard.jpg

There is not much that can make me cry, but watching my favorite cup of java splash all over the ground – especially when I am already having a bad day – usually sets me off.  My card titled, There Are No Words for This, was created using Perk Up  accompanied by a few other Close to My Heart stamp sets that I have listed below.

I created the brick background using Texture Paste that is splashed with some Espresso coffee. The cup was shaded with Tri-Blend Markers, stamped with flowers, then added to the background in a way to make it appear as if coffee is spilling and splashing all over the ground. MissCarriesCreations-ThereAreNoWordsCardDetail

This sentiment reflected exactly how I would feel on a day like this – there are just no words. Maybe some tears, some prayers, some grumbles – but no words when you are having a bad day and you spill your coffee.  All you can do, my friend, is pray that it gets better and that the next cup is even better than the first.

I hope that this card has inspired you and encouraged you – even on your worst days. If you have a chance, stop by the Winter Lovers Blog Hop and check out all the amazing creations for coffee lovers like us.  Feel free to join in the fun, if you like.

I can’t wait to see what you create!
